Terrific piece! I don't have a dog in the fight about AI. The point is it's here, and it's a very powerful tool. I think of it like a table saw. If you know how to use it, it's brilliant. If you don't, you chop off your hand.

I remain skeptical (and likely, less intelligent than humans who embrace AI. I've seen too many movies like Gattica and read too many arguments that AI will indeed replace humans - perhaps it's up to who programs it but it is far more intelligent than we humans, and capable of complex thought far beyond what humans can imagine - not that we're any great shakes and I am open to improvement on that level - just look at our wars throughout history - genocide in Palestine being the latest abomination.

Maybe AI won't weaponize everything, like humans in power and their propagandists seem to do. Time will tell. It's a hard pass on the QR codes, however. That is pushing us all toward a cashless, digital currency / online society - which will hurt the poor and people barely making it. I'm against both of those things for all the obvious reasons, some of which Ed Snowden pointed out before they made an espionage criminal out of him for telling the American people what the NSA et all were doing - surveillance state. On us. No thanks.

I don't have a problem with AI, I don't use it well I have twice but can't recall what for at this moment, anyway I don't regular use it but I am not afraid of it like some I know, Tim acts like it is some kinda monster trying to steal his soul, he acts the same way with QR codes.
