"We are surrounded by things we can't see and I love to use film to take us on a journey through portals of time and space, to make the invisible visible, because what that does is it expands our horizons, it transforms our perception, it opens our minds, and it touches our heart."
-- Louie Schwartzberg, TEDtalk “Hidden Miracles of the Natural World”
Watching a Louie Schwartzberg film is an exploration beyond our imaginations into the reality of “hidden miracles.” As with millions of his fans, Schwartzberg has repeatedly blown open the doors of my perception. When I heard that his latest film was an exaltation of gratitude, I couldn’t wait to see it. However, I soon found out that I had to wait; it wouldn’t be released until September 21, World Gratitude Day.
Even better, on that global premiere day, Schwartzberg would be present, talking about gratitude and the making of this inspiring film. And, this would not be a black-tie, red-carpet premier; it would be global with all of us invited to join together to experience the power of gratitude in these challenging times.
I volunteered to be part of spreading the word about this extraordinary event … and you can be, too.
First, save the date, second watch the trailer prepared for the Maui Film Festival, and then share this with your friends.
Let us celebrate each other and together experience the power of gratitude. Sept 21!
Swartzberg is also the creator of the blockbuster, Fantastic Fungi, described as "a consciousness-shifting film that takes us on an immersive journey through time and scale through the magical earth beneath our feet, an underground network that can heal and save our planet."
The map toward gratitude is found when I study the contours of my palm.
