You write. I read and am compelled to comment. I have written notes to myself for 70 years, yet only turning them into published illustrated stories in recent weeks. Catharsis. A new adventure. Peace, Maurice

Out of so much pain blossomed gratitude and art. So sorry you had to go through so much hardship but you're planting good seeds, and your artwork is wonderful. Thanks Joyce for sharing, Mark

Woow! The story is nostalgic and inspirational. It is emotional to me since I almost have a similar story which remember you had invited me to be your guest writer. You can share your email with me to discuss further. Thanks for this story.

What a journey. I love how you went to Mexico in spite of your fears. You've been through so much and used those struggles to create, to create art and a beautiful life.

I have begun to think that memoire should NOT be written from the point of view of accomplishments, but from setbacks & therefore, unexpected lessons learned. Thanks, I especially love the daring decision to go to Mexico and how hard it was to get there.
