Out of trials and tribulations appear the helpers

Our personal safety depends on our compassionate caring for each other

While the same old cast of characters are blaming everyone and everything except climate change for this disaster, Greg Pierce, a water-resource expert at UCLA told CNN, “I don’t know a water system in the world that is that prepared for this type of event.”

There is no villain in this tragedy, unless we include all of us who have dithered while Mother Nature suffered. In the meantime, the world is full of helpers. Here are just a few who showed up on Bluesky (in case you haven’t left X behind you, this is a good place to be.)
