Fascinating reading that’s great for stirring the brain cells a bit but not too much. As for your stomata, they must have differentiated cells like we do in other to carry out different tasks for the plants benefit. I read somewhere(probably Bluesky)that humans and plants share more DNA than we would expect and that plants are very social beings. As I was reading the article it reminded me of the movie AVATAR.
Thank you … for a relatively well-educated person, there is so much I don’t understand so I appreciate your sharing … especially since you mentioned Avatar, one of my favorite and gloriously beautiful movies.
I love your celery plant! That would give me happiness too. My thumb is if anything less green than yours. I like to do a task and have it done. "What do you mean I have to water the plant? I just did that a few days ago!" is my line of thinking. But I may be inspired to try celery. I don't really like eating it so it would just be decorative and inspiring -
Allegra ... nice to know another non-green-thumber. If you don't like celery, this may be too much. This is probably plant number 423 ... I don't know why it's still hanging in there. ;-)
I get momentarily inspired, then I remember how dreary it is to see the dead plant that totally escaped my notice for a few weeks.... so I'll probably take your advice and decide it's too much -
Photosynthesis or friendosynthysis?
You help me grow!
