Imagine living in a time before modern technology when light came only from the sun, with the long dark nights brightened simply by the pale, reflected light of the ever-changing moon.

I often wonder: had I lived then, would I have noticed the days growing longer? 

Felt the return of the sun?

Conceived of a great building where, on one day of the year,

a giant serpent shadow would crawl down the building, 

proving the sun’s return for all to see?

This is a special time of balance of light and dark, a time that has been celebrated since ancient times when people recognized and revered the life-giving power of the sun, felt its direct presence in every aspect of their lives.

Thank you for your support during this year and here is a brief moment to reflect on the beauty of our world and feel the gratitude for the light that returns every year without fail.

May 2024 be filled with great joy for each one of you.
