Welcome to Gratitude Mojo, a newsletter about how gratitude and discovering your authentic self can lead to a better life. Information based on ancient wisdom as well as current neuroscience shows that 5 minutes a day can transform your world.
All of this might be boiled down into three simple statements:
1. Appreciate who you truly are.
2. Spend a few minutes every day celebrating all the goodness around you.
3. And know that this, too, shall pass.
"The unexamined life is not worth living."-- Socrates
Gratitude Mojo, the workbook/journal, began as a personal project for Lynne Snead and I as we wanted a structured way to practice gratitude. As projects often do, it took on a life of its own as we started seeing and feeling the changes in our own lives. Another friend, Barbara Gaughen-Muller, joined us in using the budding workbook and later wrote:
"I am falling in love with gratitude journaling as it sparks wonder for my own life."
The practice of journaling deepens our understanding of our authentic selves and builds wisdom that shapes our lives. While you can use any journal you prefer, our bias leans toward GratitudeMojo, the workbook/journal we created as a guided step-by-step journey into understanding ourselves and the life we’re living, all within a framework of gratitude.
This workbook is provided to all annual paid subscribers as a printable pdf (with a second one being sent free to a person of your choice). It focuses on 13 weekly themes shown here and then does a deeper dive into the themes for a total of 26 weeks to provide a solid foundation for your transformation.
The following lighthearted guide will give you a sense of the journey through these themes.
Even if you are not ready to embark on a regular gratitude practice, the newsletter posts will provide ideas, activities, challenges, and studies to help you focus on the benefits of each theme. We encourage you to share your thoughts, questions, insights and issues and hope this will become a wise and vibrant, caring community.
We’ve seen the changes in our lives … Lynne as she experienced greater resilience in dealing with the damaging blows of Hurricane Ian while dealing with a chronic, energy-sucking disease; Barbara as she builds a peace community through a beautiful magazine and over one hundred podcasts with peace builders around the world; and me as I have reached a new level of peace and contentment and come to believe that gratitude might be one of the most basic building blocks of a kinder, more equitable world.
We look forward to being on this journey with you and wish you the best possible life. — Joyce Wycoff and Lynne Snead

Love this newsletter. I can see why you liked my post office hours now.
Appreciating what we have is so important. I written a couple of articles on it recently. This was one of a run I did and took some photos to share with the community.
