How exciting to be able to see the April pages and your book choices! There are 10 books I have never read. and I could do with reading the rest again. Made a list - thank you so much. What wonderful quotes you have chosen from each book!

On this April Fool's day at the beginning of what feels like it could be a kickass Mercury Retrograde that is already spinning my brain and throwing tacks under the bike-tires of my smallest plans and goals, this first day's book message is a balm to my frazzled soul - as well as your post. I haven't read this book but I like what it, and you, inspire in your writing. Ahhhhh. Outbreath of the held breath; sigh of relief.

Time to stop, smell the flowers, plant the garden, and ask for help when I'm stuck - or stop and take a breath when I push too hard. I am all too willing to give help - saying no and giving it to myself instead is much harder. Asking someone else for help is harder still.

Plenty of time to contemplate this in the slowdown time, walk barefoot on some grass, no matter what the frantic head-voice is insisting 'must' happen. More work gets done when it's done slower, calmer - and that allows for moments of wonder and play so I love your perfect theme for April. As usual, you're right in tune with the Universe. "What's the rush?" That may be April's motto for me!

Thank you, Joyce!

This is so lovely! I'm going to "work" through your daily currated inspirations, learning about each of these books a day at a time. I already know and love Charlie Mackesy, but he's always worth reading again. And I look forward to discovering these treasures you remind us of!
