Joyce, what a massive list! Will you be following statements as these next 55 days go forward, or is the list for us to go to when we want to check something out. Interesting re Ben-Ghiat's statement re 45 and with him involved, "will not be a true debate." In watching Deadline Whitehouse a couple hours before the debate, Wallace had a commentator, and sorry, can't recall his name, but he basically stated that w/ 45, same thing--that as an autocrat, he would pull from the dictator playbook and try to bluster and bully his way through. So it wasn't going to be a 'real' debate. But man, Harris did so well. I was very nervous ahead of time, but after first 10 min or so, began to relax into it. Thanks for all your extensive good work here.
I don't know if you have ever read Wonkette (https://www.wonkette.com, for some reason I can't seem to do the substack link) but it's a great take on American politics with a funny feminist bent.
Thank you for this list, Joyce... you are becoming a good "META-SOURCE" for fact-checking!
I sometimes compare the treatment of an issue by MSNBC on the one hand, and The FOX entertainment network, which I did on the morning after the Debate.
What I got from You-Tube about what MSNBC did after the debate was;
While on You-Tube I also entered the search term "FOX news today" (remember this was the morning after the debate), and I got a number of You-Tubes showing FOX content.
(They seemed for the most part to be saying that yes, Kamala Harris may have won the debate, BUT SHE CHEATED. And THE MODERATORS CHEATED.)
I also love the handshake image. And here’s my favorite summary of the Sept 10 debate:
She was like a childless cat woman with a laser pointer, and he chased the dot the whole night.
the laser pointer is one of my favs too. ;-)
Thank you, Joyce!

I’ll be following this list but I’m sure I’ll miss a lot. I think it’s worth picking some that you resonate for yourself.
Right.
I wouldn't want to be a fact checker
Me neither.

Thanks … I’ll definitely check this out.

Thanks … Take away “she/he/they cheated” and “fake news” and they would have little to say without bringing in sharks/windmills/pet stew.
Truth.
