Isn't it amazing when they finally show up. Makes me wonder just how much I miss in the every day world.

I didn't see the circles. But boy, the photo and words about the mothers at work, simply lovely. And the color of that water!!! Really enjoy hearing about your adventures. Keep sharing! 💜

Sue ... if you look at the corners where 4 squares come together, you might suddenly see a circle. Thanks for being part of the journey.

Aha! So thrilling to finally see the circles! Thank you for reminding me of the wondrous “hiddens” in plain sight.

Your highlights of the Substack writers who rock your world impress. Your whole approach to showcasing each one reminded me of the most specific and important questions that anchored my professional practice, advising the leaders of leaders. I asked and listened deeply to the response to "Who prefers to learn by listening to you?" The second question after that is "Who do you listen to? " When you tell me how you get and give information, I understand much of your life and work.

I never could see the circles in the rectangles! But I see faces in everything, everywhere. Loved especially your pictures of Chiapas, and the reminder that these women have not lost the work/life balance - the sacred in the mundane everyday, where work is also filled with beauty and Life. That has been lost in so many industrialized 'modern' places. Industrialization as a replacement for this balance is the grand illusion. May they keep that balance there in Chiapas and other places in rural Mexico. Thank you for the Mexico snippet; it spoke to my heart! (and the waterfall... ahhhhh)

Try looking at the intersection of four squares. Suddenly there are circles. I agree about what we've lost as we've moved into our modern world. Glad you liked the waterfall. ;-)

Your pool and fence distortion reminds me of the time I saw a face in a cliff wall that looked to me a lot like Salvador Dali. The odd thing was, I could only see it while looking down at the viewfinder of my camera preview screen around my neck which was set in B&W mode. From eye level in color, as much as I tried, I just could not see it. It was totally freaking me out. Imagine all the things people think they are seeing in the world, and everything they are missing.

"When you see it with your own eyes" is very disturbing when what you see isn't what's. actually there. And ... yes ... the missing things that other people seem to see are even more disturbing.

Illusions are super cool. I was drawn to MC Escher when I was a kid, and I never really stopped being fascinated by fantastical images you can't quite figure out.
