I read and I sat and thought about what I read, trying to come up with a good comment and failed, so what I will say is a typed conversation can relay not just information but a person's emotions while typing and I don't know how that is but I often feel like I can feel the writers emotions while I am readying what they wrote.

I'm just old enough to report that I used one of those antiquated looking Royal machines, or a very similar model, until my family bought "one of them fancy new-fangled things." We ended up with a Smith-Corona word processor before switching over to a computer/printer combo (not ready for prime time until we passed the dot-matrix era of printing).
