Where/how do you see blogs fitting into your graphic above... and what's your take on their current state and impact?

Hi Gina ... I left my blog after 14 years for Substack ... primarily because the engagement level on my blog was never what I wanted and I didn't have control of my email list. I would put blogs in general in the red box ... less personal and more dated/stale than newsletters. The hazard of newsletters and specifically Substack is also its beauty ... it's a democratic platform so everyone has a voice ... but not everyone has something to say. Eventually, the reading public will shape the direction of this platform ... which IMHO is better than having a small group of profit-driven entities determining what gets published and who gets heard.

Are you a blogger?

I used to blog and have been encouraged to include it in my current writing plans and practice. But with the discoverability potential within Substack, it seems like a more practical (and fun) approach.

I'm pulling some of my more popular blog posts into Substack, generally with a significant update. I thought for awhile I might continue to put my art stuff there but I haven't.

Hmmm. That's an idea (pulling best posts over, that is)!
