Life is hard for some and harder for others very few have any form of easy life amd I do not know hwy these words came to mind while reading this but they did
I laughed at the internet rabbit hole you went down... familiar territory: humor; check.
Sorry to say that as someone who's had to deal with lifelong depression and bad decisions I made and poverty, life IS hard. But not all the time. there's always time for beauty and wonder - it's a gumbo for me.
#4 isn't a postcard, it's a billboard! Thanks - I needed that. Much as I'd love to read the postcards, I'm gonna give that a pass. :)
Thank you for introducing Ben Wakeman. So many writers, so little time. I depend on the good sense and life experiences of others to help me navigate where to put attention and when to subscribe.
Yes! I love your invitation to reality here: Stopping to mull over a single sentence. Asking “Is that so?” This feels like a peek at marginalia, and I’m signing up for your choir by the last line. 😂😂 Ben supplied the wisdom, and you made it funny, which is also wisdom.

Thanks, Tara ... what an adventure this is ... life ... and Substack ... and writing. Fun to be on the journey with you.
🎯 ✨ :-)
It's always good to ponder anew! Great post Joyce!
Love this one, Joyce! And so true—opening your eyes and then opening your Substack can be a real 'eye-opener.' Rock on!!
